Dr. Powell is a native of Gainesville, Tx and made the move to South Carolina for college. He graduated from Furman University in 1997 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemistry. He continued his studies in Chemistry at Furman and graduated with a Masters of Science degree in 1998. Dr. Powell attended the Medical College of Georgia where he received his Doctor of Medical Dentisty degree in 2005. He holds memberships in the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association and the Greenville County Dental Society.

Outside of work, Dr. Powell is an active member of St. Peter’s Episcopal church, serving on both the Vestry and Outreach Committees and acting with the St. Peter’s Players. He enjoys gardening, cooking, running, and participating in his children’s extracurricular activities. Dr. Powell and his wife, Keri, have two beautiful daughters, Sara and Avery, and two rescue mutts, Hoppy and Badger.

Anna graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. A native of Pittsburgh, Anna moved to Travelers Rest in March 2004. Prior to joining Powell Family Dentistry in June 2014, Anna worked for a general dental office in Hendersonville, NC for 10 years. She enjoys one on one interaction with patients as she shares her knowledge and experience regarding dental hygiene needs. Anna enjoys being outdoors and spending time with family.
